ID+A Opens New Louisville Headquarters
Interior Design & Architecture, Inc. (ID&A) held their grand opening of their new Paristown Pointe headquarters Thursday evening. Over 150 people attended the ribbon cutting and celebration at 731 Brent Street. ID&A’s leaders and staff were on hand to celebrate with GLI and Louisville Forward.
Mark Eley, CVO, says “To bring your people back into the office you must have great space, with great design, in an environment where they can have fun and be safe. You must invest in your space to have the best technology and work tools to build efficiency and allow people to do their best work. Speed is the new currency and we have built our business on it. Let your team help you create a culture and as a leader, you can stand back and get out of the way.”
The location functions as both ID&A’s headquarters and a “work experience lab,” meaning ID&A can gather data and insights on how people work in different environments to share with clients and their employees. The space is comprised of 13,000 square feet. It houses 11 conference rooms and 25 other workspaces. A third floor offers the large activity space, able to hold 75 to 100 people that is available to the public to book for events, meetings, and trainings.
Jake Theisen, President, said, “Last night we felt the support of not only our team but our community. You all have been the backbone of our business for the last 41 years. This community of friends, clients and partners has grown together in our businesses and have been supporting each other repeatedly over the years. We can’t thank everyone enough to help celebrate our success.”
Jessica Hardin, Vice President for ID&A, said “ID+A has been on a growth trajectory for the last 10 years. We have outgrown our old headquarters at 1700 S. Fifth St. That building was about 5,200 square feet. We currently have 61 employees companywide with a new 45,000 square feet Operations Center in Louisville and additional offices in Lexington, Kentucky, Evansville, Indiana, and Nashville, Tennessee. Building an internal team and manufacturing partners who wants to work together and loves to win is the key to our growth success.”
In addition to just a new home for ID&A, the work experience lab will be a showroom for MillerKnoll. ID&A is the sole MillerKnoll partner for Kentucky and Southern Indiana. This partnership brings together the design heritages of Herman Miller, Knoll, and their 19 brands under one roof -- for the first time in this market. Their constellation of brands includes Colebrook Bosson Saunders, DatesWeiser, DWR, Edelman Leather, Fully, Geiger, HAY, Holly Hunt, KnollExtra, Knoll Office, KnollStudio, KnollTextiles, Maharam, Muuto, naughtone, and Spinneybeck|FilzFelt.
For over four decades, ID&A has retained its founding concepts and adapted to the changing demands of interiors with customized design and product solutions. What was true at our inception remains true today: Our unwavering client focus and exceeding their expectations.
ID&A’s work experience lab is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 – 5:00 and you can find them online at id-a.com.
